TRIPLE2 Buex Pro MTB Hose Guide

TRIPLE2 - BUEX Pant Pro 2.0 - New MTB Pants for Enduro, Trail, and Park

"Gone are the days when we used to shred the trails in old, worn-out Bundeswehr pants. Today, there are significantly more stylish, and above all, more functional MTB pants to spend your time on the mountain bike. This includes our current MTB pants called BUEX Pant Pro. We have fundamentally revised our top model. What the new MTB pants can do, you can find out here."

What is new about our top MTB shorts?

FOCUS ON THE FEATURES

The best fit and the best material are of course extremely important for good MTB shorts. However, let's start with the small, practical, and no less important details.

"We have already ridden quite a few long MTB shorts before we dared to try our BUEX Pant pro. With most models, there were things that bothered us. For example: Hard and non-elastic materials, fabrics that are neither recycled nor sustainable in any way, bulky buckles that press on hip bones or the stomach, Velcro fasteners that dangle loosely after a dirt pack or alternatively scratch on the skin or get caught on the jersey. Baggy pockets that can hold a smartphone or lift ticket but do not keep them in place. So there are good reasons to make things better!"

Example Buckles / Velcro:

"For our MTB shorts, for example, we opted against thick buckles or scratchy Velcro fasteners for the waist adjustment. Instead, our MTB shorts feature a simple yet effective adjustment using aluminum hooks and belt loops, similar to what you find in climbing gear or trekking backpacks. Advantages: super flat, very effective, extremely lightweight, and yet stable. Once adjusted, you won't feel the adjustment on the bike - no matter the position."

Example bag:

We have placed our zippered pocket under a reflective piping on the side of the thigh. The shape of the pocket is designed so that a smartphone fits in it but cannot move around. The bottom side of the pocket is shaped to almost suck the phone in and hold it in position. The Cam-Lock zipper locks the pocket in a closed state, so it cannot open by itself. And should you forget to close the zipper, the reflective piping comes into play. It is arranged in such a way that keys, lift tickets, smartphones, or whatever else cannot easily fall out of the pocket. This also applies in the event that you reach for the phone while pedaling.

These are just two details of a whole range of features. More details about the MTB pants BUEX Pro can be found here:

Eco-friendly AND ROBUST MTB PANTS?

FOCUS ON THE MATERIAL

"When it comes to the material of our pants, we make no compromises: We use a nylon material based on castor oil. This means our bio-polymer comes from a 100% organic source. The fabric is produced in Sweden and is unmatched in terms of abrasion resistance, elasticity, and feel. A MTB pant for true bikers."

The special web structure allows for a high elasticity of the material in all four directions. This means that your freedom of movement on the bike is not limited even in tricky situations.

Moreover, the fabric is abrasion-resistant. The rib-stop structure also prevents further tearing of the fabric should ice cause a hole in the pants.

MTB HOSE WITH INTELLIGENT FIT

FOCUS ON THE FIT

"We listened! To our ambassadors and customers and also to ourselves. After many kilometers on the bike, we had to realize: There is room for improvement. Fit and cut can be further optimized. So, everything back to the beginning and let the curtain rise for our new, supportive development method: 3D rendering!"

At first, it sounds like colorful pictures with nothing behind them. Admittedly, there are many colorful pictures. However, in this case, they make it easier for us to identify specific areas of the pants that are particularly exposed to high stress. How does that work? First, a pattern for the pants is developed on a model called an avatar. In addition to features like pockets, belt loops, zippers, buttons, and much more, an important component of the pants is also simulated: namely, the exact fabric with all its characteristics as it will ultimately be used. Once the data is entered, the model of the MTB pants can also be moved to simulate riding situations. A so-called heat map then shows where seams and materials are particularly stressed (red). Based on this, these areas can be reinforced, or the cut can be adjusted so that these areas are exposed to less stress.

"Once this foundation is laid, prototypes of the MTB shorts are made, which are tested by experienced MTB pilots in tough conditions. If the findings from the practical test match the results from the simulation, one is a step closer to the perfect MTB shorts."
