The second layer serves as an intermediary between the baselayer and the outer layer. It must simultaneously provide warmth, transport moisture, offer light wind protection, and take on additional tasks depending on the style.
For example, our BRIES wind jacket and softshell jacket, which warm thanks to the Merino inner side and are also extremely elastic.
