For a Long Life
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Care instructions
Proper care is very important for all triple2 products. The better your product is cared for and washed, the longer it lasts. We will show you the most important basic rules for washing machines & co. and also address special products like Merino or Tencel.
Care instructions: Basic rule
Wash as often as necessary and as rarely as possible. This also applies to shirts and pants. Jackets and pants with a membrane should be washed even less frequently. The rule is: wash and reproof only after about 150 hours of use. In principle, outdoor or cycling clothing belongs in the washing machine, not in dry cleaning. Be sure to follow the instructions on the respective labels!
Care instructions: Preparation
Stubborn stains like soot or grease must be removed before washing. Gently dab the dirt with a cloth and some original Pril. DO NOT rub – this pushes the dirt deeper into the fabric. Close all zippers and Velcro fasteners before washing. Turn wool, softshell, hemp, and cotton products inside out to protect the outer side. It is best to additionally use a laundry bag made of fine mesh material for all products with a membrane.

Use environmentally friendly special detergents for functional textiles. Never use fabric softener or bleach! Our tip: The environmentally friendly water-based products from Nikwax. They extend the lifespan of the waterproofing of waterproof and breathable products. For these types of clothing, an extra rinse cycle is also worthwhile. Always wash the products on a gentle cycle or in a special program for functional textiles. Products with a membrane should ideally go into the dryer after washing. The heat from the dryer reactivates the waterproofing. If your triple2 product is no longer waterproof afterwards, it needs to be re-waterproofed. The best way to do this is with a wash-in waterproofing. This has the advantage that no spray with environmentally harmful propellants needs to be used.
