We believe that the quality of the ingredients is the foundation for good and healthy food. And of course, it is also the basis for a fair treatment of our environment and our resources. That is why we only use fresh ingredients of the highest quality in our menus, free from additives and refined sugar. We source meat, cheese, and many other ingredients organically.
In the very first step, we switched to organic meat and cheese. We achieved this because our kitchen crew persistently negotiated to convince top suppliers to work with us. A good example of this success is the Ökologische Molkereien Allgäu, which supplies us with organic cheese, or the Biomanufaktur Havelland, from which we source our organic beef. Yes, organic ingredients cost more. Yes, we have to sell our products at a higher price than other salad shops.
Yes, organic ingredients require quite a bit of work. But we do this out of deep conviction! At STADTSALAT, we want to offer not only delicious food but also handle our resources fairly and sustainably. We want to provide the urban population with really good food and deliver the best possible (organic) quality to our customers.
